Amanda Batula has announced her departure from ‘Summer House’ after serving as a fixture on the reality television series since its 2017 premiere. The Bravo personality will not return when production begins on season 11, marking the end of her decade-long association with the show.According to E! News, Batula’s exit concludes a challenging year marked by personal turmoil and cast divisions. She and Kyle Cooke, whom she married in 2021, confirmed their separation in January following four years of marriage. Subsequently, on March 31, Batula revealed through a joint Instagram post that she had begun dating costar West Wilson—a relationship that quickly earned the fan-created moniker “#Scamanda” and rapidly fractured the cast’s established friendships.

West Wilson‘s earlier departure from the show

Wilson, who joined ‘Summer House’ in 2024, preceded Batula in leaving the series. His own departure was confirmed on June 15, and he addressed the decision during an appearance on the Broadcast Boys podcast on June 24. “I wanted to tell it on my own,” Wilson said of his exit announcement. “But that is true. But in their defence, I don’t think it would have been a fun summer,” he added, acknowledging the tension that would have characterised production.

Ciara Miller‘s confrontation at the reunion

The conflict reached its most visible point during the show’s reunion special, where Ciara Miller Batula’s former best friend, who previously dated Wilson before their contentious 2023 separation, directly confronted the couple. Miller, now co-hosting ‘Love Island USA Aftersun’ in Fiji, expressed her frustration with the situation during the June 9 episode.“I couldn’t fathom that I would be sitting here pissed that you’re f–king my ex,” Miller told Batula. “He wants to embarrass me. He wants to get his last little words in. And I hope it works, because he’s with you to spite me,” she continued, articulating her perspective on Wilson’s motivations for the relationship.

West Wilson’s defence of the relationship

Wilson responded to Miller’s criticism during the show’s June 16 Aftermath special, defending his connection with Batula as genuine rather than retaliatory. Speaking directly to Cooke, Wilson described the foundation of their relationship. “I can tell you my relationship with Amanda is the first time I’ve come from a steady three-year friendship where there’s nothing performative about it. Nothing’s trying to prove anything,” he said.Wilson elaborated on his vision for their future together, indicating serious long-term intentions. “I regret so many things, but the one thing I cannot regret is my feelings for Amanda and caring for her. I can’t apologise for it because it happened,” he stated, emphasising that the connection transcended the drama surrounding its revelation.

Uncertainty surrounding the season 11 cast

Bravo has not yet announced the complete cast for season 11, leaving questions about who will participate in the upcoming season. Production on the show typically commences around the Fourth of July weekend. It remains uncertain whether Miller will return for the season alongside the remainder of the cast, given the significant divisions that have emerged throughout the year.
