According to recent reports, lead actress Alia Bhatt reportedly commanded a fee nearly eight times higher than what co-star Sharvari was paid for the same project, reigniting conversations around the gender and seniority-based pay gaps that continue to exist in the Hindi film industry.

According to a report by Asianet News, Alia Bhatt, who leads the first female-led spy-thriller universe with ‘Alpha’, has reportedly bagged a fee of Rs 25 crore for the film. This figure is said to be nearly eight times higher than what her co-star Sharvari, who plays the second female lead, was paid for the project.
