While taking the stage to present the award for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, the two took a moment to celebrate the big achievement. The duo started by thanking the fans for showing their movie a lot of love. Jackson stated, “We’re so grateful for the love you all showed to our movie. You guys had the theatres packed! We’re truly so humbled. Your support means the world to the Jackson family.”Long also took the moment to thank the world for loving her portrayal of Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson’s mother, in the film. She said with gratitude, “Portraying Katherine Jackson reminded me that grace is quiet and still, and tonight we honour that. Jaafar, it was an honour watching you transform into your uncle right before our eyes.”

Variety reported recently that Michael Jackson’s biopic, ‘Michael,’ broke a major record by surpassing ‘Oppenheimer,’ grossing USD 977 million globally. The film is only a few million dollars short of reaching the USD 1 billion mark. ‘Oppenheimer’ had set a major record at the time of its release, earning USD 975 million globally. Not only that, but the film has also surpassed ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ as the biggest-earning musical biopic.
