A day before Alia Bhatt‘s much-anticipated spy thriller ‘Alpha’ released in cinemas, her mother Soni Razdan turned to social media with a heartwarming family moment. The veteran actress shared a rare four-generation photograph along with a deeply personal note honouring the women of her family.
Soni Razdan reveals who the real alpha of their house is
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Soni Razdan posted a picture featuring herself, her 97-year-old mother, daughter Alia Bhatt, and her granddaughter, all captured together in one frame. Explaining the special occasion behind the post, she wrote, “One OG ALPHA woman and four generations in one frame! Alia’s Nani who is all of 97 years young. No, it’s not her birthday today, but on the eve of her granddaughter’s release she wanted to wish her this way.“In the note, Soni Razdan also revisited her mother’s extraordinary early life, describing the hardships the family endured during World War II. She wrote, “My mother escaped Nazi Germany when she was just 6 years old. Although German and not Jewish, they had to run because my grandfather was a brave man and went openly against Hitler.”She further added, “After a few years in Czechoslovakia, enduring many a hardship, she and her family landed up in the UK, escaping on a Jewish kinder transport train. The trials she faced were many. Then she met and married NN Razdan and finally started a new life in India.”She ended her post with a warm, reflective message about the strength found in women across generations. She concluded, “Alpha women exist in many different ways. They’re all around us. But ultimately, I think all our mothers and grandmothers are Alpha women.
